Support us with a donation
monkkee is free of charge and should remain free – You can make a contribution to help keep monkkee alive and running!
Maybe you’ve already noticed that we don’t take advertising or membership fees here. Instead, we accept donations and that’s how this journaling site is sustained. Your donation will be used to pay the bills for our server hosting costs and also allows us to constantly develop new features.
If you love this online journal as much as we do, help us feed the hungry monkkee by buying a ‘snack’ from the assortment of nutritionally sensitive selections below!
Thank you so much, wonderful, awesome, fabulous monkkee supporter!
Your donation was successful! You will receive a confirmation email soon.
Why don’t you leave a comment at the bottom of this page and state the amount you donated or tell us the reason why you decided that this journaling site deserves support!

You can donate by selecting an item from the vending machine or by entering an amount of your choice (in euros) in the form above. This also works without a PayPal account, e.g. via credit card.
Pretty nice just signed up. You should think about implementing a subscription model like FreeCodeCamp. Instead of a one-time payment, people should be able to sign up for a subscription where you can donate every month 5 euros(or whatever can you afford).
The service would be still free, but people who like it will be able to continually support it.
I have been using monkkee for years and today i finally felt that you guys deserve it! I know, if everyone was like me, there would be no Monkkee! Combined with a decent amount of money in my bank account (finally) and the realization of how great it is to work with a webape like this ads free! And that every good work deserves compensation! My programmer boyfriend taught me this 🙂
Donated 5 Euro. Worth it every few months to keep their servers running and fund future development.
Great concept. I love the privacy. I would like to see import from Journey (which uses Google Drive as a backend), which I’m moving away from due to lack of security with the passcode option. I think import options would encourage more people like me to switch.
Great app! If you can develop a mobile version it wold be more useful for the users .
I feel Monkkee as my pet and it’s my duty to feed him. I’m just using for a month but I feel guilty whenever I use it without contributing to you.
Thank you for keeping this site free. I’m relatively new but have been using Monkkee on a daily basis and have found it pretty useful. I’m a guy who hates paying for already successful overpriced products but loves paying for free products that truly deserve it and you guys are one of them. Happy to support you. It’d be nice if in the future you could have an automatic algorithm (to keep it all still secure) keep track of stats on our entries as some other online journals do, like average time spent writing, positive vs negative word-choice proportions, etc. In any case, keep it up!
I made a small donation because I appreciate the use of the site, although I actually use it quite infrequently. But when I am in the mood to release through writing, it’s good to have a secure, ez to use option readily available.
Monkkee is just what I was looking for, in order to keep a XXI century private journal. Also, I appreciate the non-mobile app approach. I love you so much, Monkkee Makers <3
This small token of appreciation cannot even explain how important this is to me. Stress relief, growth and introspection. Thank you.
